Meet the Teacher.
Hi! I’m Esteban Tamashiro, a professional composer and piano teacher with over 15 years of teaching experience.
My musical journey began at the age of six when my grandfather introduced me to the piano. A few years later, I started formal lessons at the Yamaha Music Academy, where after completing the Yamaha Music Education System, I joined the Academy's staff as a piano teacher at the age of 19.
After graduating with a Degree in Music Composition from the National University of Córdoba, I was awarded a full scholarship to pursue my Master’s Degree in Music Composition and Education at the Conservatori Superior de Música del Liceu in Barcelona, Spain.

As a composer, I have collaborated with video game companies around the world, writing music for PlayStation, Nintendo, and PC titles. I have also composed for films, and was honored with a nomination at the 2021 Hollywood Music in Media Awards (HMMA) for Best Original Score for a Live-Action Short Film.
Composing music has always been a deeply personal part of my journey, and I enjoy sharing that perspective with my students. Sometimes we explore how music tells a story, or even try writing something simple together just for fun. It’s a way to connect more closely with the music and develop a deeper understanding of how it works.
Music Composition

Teaching Through the Years
Throughout my career, I have taught piano and music composition to students of all ages and levels, working at institutions such as the Provincial University of Córdoba, Yamaha Music Academy, Liceo Grl. Paz High School, and Piano Lessons Dublin.
Every student learns differently, and I always aim to create a space where they feel supported, challenged, and inspired. Whether it’s a child taking their first steps at the piano or an adult returning to music after years, I adapt my lessons to meet their individual goals and pace. I’ve also helped students prepare successfully for RIAM exams, up to Grade VIII.
Feel free to contact me via email or WhatsApp to schedule a video call consultation.
